1. Guess the problems

a. I liked how she tried to integrate new, harder words rather than the easy words. The words were much challenging, but everyone managed to get their words right. I got to learn the word constipation.

b. It was great that she prepared another activity to keep time. It was unfortunate some people did not know the celebrities; but when used in regular classrooms, I thought that the activity will help the students review what they had done in class.

c. The exercise overall was covered smoothly. I thought that this activity involved the most adequate level of language within our group activities.

2. Two questions

a. The activity's overall structure seemed similar to what the instructor had done last time.

b. The instructor had forgotten to add more instructions to make sure the answers do not slip to the other group; this aspect still seemed like it needed more improvement.

c. It was great that the instructor had remembered what the professor had said and tried to add more questions that included examples and words(e.g. pet peeves) that the other students were not likely to know.

d. However, it was hard to ask questions as the instructed, because the students had not understood the exercise well and the question themselves did not have much to ask about. I hope there will be less questions that are more sophisticated.

e. The instructor forgot to explain the activity at the beginning of the class, and some students were confused with what they had to do. The instructor needed to explain the activity more clearly.

1)     Whats my problem? & Who am I?

First of all, I was the instructor for this activity and I tried to make the words harder than the words I used last time, so I adjusted the difficulty of them so that the students could think deeply and speak critically. One of the words was constipation but most of the students did not know what this word means, so they looked up the meaning of it. I thought it was a nice opportunity for them to learn new words and build up their vocabulary. When preparing the activity, I also thought of time management and I expected that we will have some time left. So, I prepared another activity to keep time and I thought it also served its pedagogical goal which was to help the students think and speak creatively. Overall, the level of language in these activities was all adequate to the students and I feel that my activity got better compared to the last time.

2)     Two questions

This activity was exactly same with the one weve done last time, but only the difference was that the instructor added some more questions compared to the last time. However, some of the students seemed that they are not comfortable with the instructions and they hesitated to say something. Although everything was comprehensible and it served the pedagogical goal to help the students think creatively, I felt that the instructor should work intensively on explaining the instructions more clearly at the beginning of the activity so that the students can have a better understanding of the activity.
